Structure Summary

 

To open a structure's summary first search for and open a structure. The structure summary will open.



The Structure Summary is divided up into sections:
Structure Identification
Ownership and Location
Structure Elements
Restrictions and Assessments
Condition and Inspections
The Map Square
Summary Photographs

Structure Identification

The first section summarises the basic identification fields for the structure, things like name and structure type. 



To edit any of these fields click on the Structure Details tab or click on the value you wish to modify to be redirected to the correct location.



Ownership and Location

The next set of summary fields display ownership and location information.



To edit any of these fields click on the Structure Details tab or click on the value you wish to modify to be redirected to the correct location.

Structure Elements

Your structure element status and carried and crossed elements are also displayed on the summary.



An element hierarchy with a compliant element hierarchy will display Compliant under the status field. Not Compliant will display if there are elements to attend to in your action required folder or if the number of elements against the structure is low. Click on the Not Compliant value to be directed to the Modify Elements page.

To complete the Carried and Crossed values, make sure you have the appropriate elements in your Carried/Crossed folder in the Structure Menu on the left.



If you don't, follow the Editing an Element Hierarchy instructions to add one or more elements to the Carried/Crossed folder. Next, select each element and apply a pertinent Relative Position on the Element Details tab.

Restrictions and Assessments

Restrictions and Assessments don't apply to all structures. If they don't then the summary should look like the below.



Restrictions can be added via the Restrictions folder in the Structure Menu on the left. Whilst Assessment information can be added via the Assessment Results folder also in the Structure Menu on the left

Condition and Inspections

The most recent inspection date is displayed under the Last Inspection field. Click on the date to open that particular inspection. BCI Average and Critical information also displays. Full Bridge Condition Index (BCI) information for a structure can be found on the BCI tab.



The Map Square

Below the comments field is the Map Square. If you have an easting/northing recorded against your structure, then its location will be displayed here. If not, head to the Structure Details tab to apply a coordinate pair to your structure.



Summary Photographs

Summary Photographs are based on images added to the Structure Files . You can read about how to set photos to display on the Structure Summary here.
