After login to BridgeStation, from the left action menu, go to Planning and Maintenance > Maintenance Management.
Click on the "Draft Workbank" tab. As shown in the image below.
To add maintenance works from life cycle plans, make sure you have one or more investment plans developed.
On the draft workbank tab, click on the "Add Works from life cycle plans" button as shown in the image below.
You will be presented with a list of life cycle plans as different tabs, each tab has a list view and a year view.
You can filter the structure you are interested in or develop a scheme for.
Click on the "blue" cell which shows the maintenance work identified by life cycle plans. The popup will highlight scheme details with a list of elements.
To add this scheme/maintenance work to workbank, click on the "Add to workbank" button, as shown in the image below. You will be presented with two options
1) Add works as an ad-hoc defect: This option adds a single "work item" for the selected scheme. It will put list of elements worked on in the description of the defect and total cost. Please note that, with these options elements are not linked to the defect, so once work is complete while closing out the project, you may not be able to add post-work conditions for those elements. The system assumes that a special inspection will be carried out recording post-work conditions to update BCI.
2) Add a defect for each element identified in the scheme: This option adds one defect for each element being worked on in the LCP scheme. ie if the scheme highlights 10 elements being worked on, it will add 10 work items with relevant information. This list of work items then can be packaged together (or added to the existing package) using the Work Bank work packaging function. This way, when you close the work package, you will have the option to assign post-work conditions for each element being worked on.
After selecting the appropriate option click the "Add to workbank" button. The system will add that scheme to the workbank. Schemes added to the workbank are highlighted as "Blue Border" .
Go back to "draft workbank" by using the back button, search for the structure, and you will see work items added with "Source" columns showing the names of the life cycle plans.
