Asset Valuation - Information for Auditors

Asset Valuation in BridgeStation is based on work carried out by Highways Asset Management Financial Information Group (HAMFIG) and published by The Chartered Institue of Public Finance & Accountancy (CIPFA) referred to as the Structures Toolkit.
CIPFA has published, on their website, the Excel-based toolkit and supporting information including a user guide, methodology and functional specification  - Code of Practice on Local Authority Transport Infrastructure Assets – supporting documents
 
BridgeStation uses data already held on the system to develop an annual asset valuation report for each authority. This is provided as an alternative to the Structures Toolkit published by HAMFIG/CIPFA. - BridgeStation's Asset Valuation Instructions
 
Each year HAMFIG and CIPFA publish updated unit replacement rates. These are usually published mid-June, after which BridgeStation is updated.
 
For those using BridgeStation who still wish to use the original HAMFIG/CIPFA Structures Toolkit an export is available. You can use this to copy/paste your BridgeStation data into the original Structures Toolkit -  Export  Instructions
