Elements 6 - Fixing Element Mapping Errors

When an original component hierarchy is converted to a new compliant hierarchy occasionally mapping errors occur. This is normally because some user input is need to confirm a component to element match.

You will need to fix these mapping errors before you can go on to edit or switch your compliant hierarchy.

Click on the Action Required link at the bottom to begin fixing the errors. You will be sent to the edit inventory page and be presented with a series of mapping errors that need to be rectified:
 


You will receive the following message:
Further information is required to complete the element mapping. The element(s) in the Action Required folder need to be assigned to a compliant CSS element and/or assigned to a particular Span
 


In the CSS Element column you must select the correct component to element mapping. In the example above the component called Painting needs to be confirmed as either Element 19, 20 or 21. Use the option button to make your selection.

If you have a multi span inventory then in most cases you then need to select the correct span in the Select Span column. Make your selection using the drop-down. If no span designation is required then a drop-down selection is not required.


Click Update to finish fixing the element mapping errors.
